Mark's 24 Hour Squashathon
in conjunction with Hinckley & Burbage Lions Club
From 7pm on Friday 16th October
In May of this year Hinckley Squash Club’s Mark Langeveld suffered a severe intervertebral disc herniation resulting in the loss in some of the use of his legs. Mark has always been a keen squash player and active member of the club, also captaining their second team in the Leicestershire Squash Leagues. The Club are keen to support Mark by helping to raise money by running a 24-Hour Squashathon on 16th and 17th October. Monies raised will help to buy Mark some much-needed specialist equipment to aid his rehabilitation.
Please help support Hinckley Squash Club with their fund raising efforts by either participating in the event or by donating. Please see below a schedule of events for the 24 hours:
Running Order from 7pm on Friday 16th October.
7.00pm - 7.15pm - First Serve – Mark Langeveld to start the event
7.15pm - 10.00pm - 1st Team Match v Cleaver
10.00pm - 11.00pm - Play the pro - £1 per point to the fund
11.00pm - 8.00am - The Night Shift – “Sponsored” by Nescafe/Redbull!
8.00am - 10.00am - Early Risers Kids Squash/Play - free toast and milk
10.00am - 11.00am - Singles Play
11.00am - 1.00pm - Wooden Rackets Madness - Fancy Dress Compulsory!
1.00pm - 4.00pm - Doubles - pairs picked out of hat
4.00pm - 7.00pm - Handicap Comp with a Twist
6.45pm - 7.00pm - The Home Straight and Closing Ceremony
7.00pm onwards - Celebrate by watching another 1st team match!
How To Participate
Either simply turn up on the day or decide which time slot(s) you would like to play in and email your name to development@hinckleysquash.com or call/text Cath Brown 07795 264479.
How To Raise Money
Firstly spread the word - friends, family, Facebook, Twitter etc you get the idea!
Donate via Justgiving website (details to follow) or Text ‘SQUA16 £xx’ to 70070 *.
Sponsorship forms are available attached, or alternately donate cash on the day.
