Stage One: Inter County Squash Championship 2012.

The Boys U17 Inter County fixture was held at Grantham Squash Club on the 7th October 2012. The counties involved were Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Northamptonshire.
 
In the first match Leicestershire played Norfolk. Good 3:0 wins from all the Leicestershire players gave us a good start to the day.
 
The second match against Northants was much harder but we just managed to win the tie 3:2. There were good wins from Joe Sibley (3:0), James Payne (3:2) and Patrick Sadd (3:2).George Orton played well but just missed out on his game and was narrowly beaten 3:2. There was also a good effort by Luke Brink (his first game for the Under 17’s) but he was beaten by a stronger Northamptonshire player.
 
The third match was against the hosts Lincolnshire. We had three good wins by George Newitt, George Orton and James Payne which won the match for Leicestershire and gave us the top position for this Stage one event
 
I would just like to say a thank you to all the players who played and behaved very well on behalf of their county and gave 100% whether they won or lost .
