It was with great sadness that Leicestershire squash learned of the death of George Morgan from Hermitage Squash last Wednesday, 9th March . Aged just 20, George collapsed whilst on court at Bristol UWE university where he was studying. Despite the very best efforts of players, paramedics and doctors they were unable to revive him.
George was well known on the local junior circuit having represented Leicestershire from a young age, later moving up to the Hermitage mens' teams. Quick witted and with a great sense of humour it was clear to see he felt at home on court. The tragic loss is felt across the Leicestershire squash community and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this very difficult time.
