  • It was noted that the sum of £305 had been paid to Ian for maintenance and update of the website and update to the bank scoring system.

4 REVIEW OF THE SEASON

A review of the season had been circulated with the agenda. The following points were highlighted:
  • The season had been interrupted by the Covid-19 Pandemic and all matches after 21 March 2020 had been cancelled.
  • This season we welcomed a team from Hinckley and welcomed back Loughborough Students. • There were seven teams, each of four players. There were 42 first half fixtures and 34 in the second half; eight fixtures being cancelled due to Covid-19. There was a total of 310 matches played; 163 in the first half and 147 in the second. Seven matches were played with teams of three players.
  • Bank players were used only 10 times and only one match with two bank players playing for one team. 56 players are listed on Squash Levels.
  • A Fun Squash day took place on 5 January 2020, thanks to Market Harborough for hosting.

5 AWARDS

With eight matches being cancelled in the second half of the season, the Committee agreed that the results of the first 21 matches of the season should be used to calculate the winner and runner-up of the league and the first 10 matches for the hospitality winner. League Winner: Hermitage League Runner Up: Market Harborough Hospitality: Sport in Desford 2 Most Improved Player: Ella Bills, Market Harborough Congratulations to everyone on their successes

6 LEAGUE STRUCTURE 2019/20
  • It is intended that the season will start in January 2021 to take account of the restrictions that must be observed in view of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
  • The structure of the Ladies’ League will depend on the number of teams entered.
  • It may be necessary for teams to comprise three players rather than four, dependent upon the number of ladies playing, however, this is a matter for discussion nearer the start of the season. It was noted that a team of four players is preferable.
  • The Executive Committee will meet in December 2020 to discuss and prepare for the Ladies’ League to start in January 2021.
