Success for the Under 19 County Boys

The Boys U19 Inter county fixture was held at London Road Squash Club on the 9th October 2011. The four counties involved where Leics, Notts, Northants and Worcs.

In the first tie Leics bt Worcs 3/2 with good wins by Jack Turney, Hallam Robson and Callum Greasley. Callum's match was critical to winning the tie, taking the match 11/9 in the fifth game. In the second tie Tim Arthur and Ben Wood both improved on their first game match results to ease Leicestershire to a 4/1 win over Notts. Finally Leics beat Northants 5/0 with Hallam Robson winning the final tie of the fixture 13/11 in the fifth game.

Final Positions

1. Leicestershire  56 points 

2. Worcs              43 points 

3. Northants         32 points 

4. Notts                17 points

Leicestershire's performance was excellent, underpinned to some extent by the coaching/training sessions which are starting to prove very valuable.

Second leg will be held 22nd January 2012, venue TBA.
