Saturday 12th December - One Day Event

After a very successful inaugural event last year we are very much looking forward to this years tournament.

This is a one day event where every competitor is guaranteed a t-shirt and at least three matches. The event is for players of all ages and abilities and it would be great to see as many club members taking part as possible!

All matches will be best of three games with prizes for the winners of each grade.

Bar and Catering

The bar will be open all day at Leicester Squash Club and food will be available. More information to follow on what will be on offer.

Entry List, Draws and Schedules Release Dates

This is another major change but something that we hope will make the event run smoother.

Friday – 8 days before the event – The event will close at midnight the Friday before the event. Almost exactly a week before the event is due to start.

Sunday – 6 days before the event - An entry list will be released on www.fantasysquashshop.com/blog on the Monday before the event. If you have entered the event then please check on the Monday that your entry has been received and that you are on the list. If you should be on the list but are not then please email Mark Fuller mark@starsportsdevelopment.com as soon as possible.

Tuesday – 5 days before the event – Draws and Schedules will be released on www.fantasysquashshop.com/blog

Tournament Rules

Register at least 15 minutes before your scheduled match time.

Winners referee the next match on the court they have just finished on.
You must be ready to referee by the time that the next players have finished knocking up.

When refereeing please write the name of both opponents and the grade on the score sheet.

All matches are best of 3 games. Tiebreak at 10-10 with the game going to the first player to be 2 points clear.

Grades

It is important to remember that these events are designed to be inclusive and to cater for players of all ages and abilities. I have given a rough guide to which grade will be best below, if you have anymore questions feel free to call Mark Fuller on 07846067505.

B Grade – Regular Club Player – Plays for the teams in the local country leagues.

C Grade – Players who play in the clubs internal leagues or for the club low down in the county league set up.

D Grade – Recreational players.

A Grade – This is running as a Professional Squash Association event at Closed Satellite level. Two matches will be played on the Friday and another two on the Saturday with the final taking place at the end of the B grade final.
